Black Chia Seeds

Black Chia Seeds

3 oz,16 oz
Chia Seed (Salvia hispanica), Native to central and southern Mexico, and Guatemala. A food that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, used for nutritious drinks and as a food source providing protein, fats and fiber.

Chia is highly 'hydrophilic' water, it can help you prolong hydration and retain electrolytes, especially during exertion. Water-soaked chia seeds are easily digested and nutrients can be quickly assimilated into the body. Chia gel creates a physical barrier between carbohydrates and the digestive enzymes, thus it can control blood sugar. Its Omega-3, protect against inflammation such as arthritis and heart disease.

Suggested Uses: Chia seeds can be eaten raw, have a nice "nutty" flavor. May take up to 1 Tbsp of the dry seeds and add them to drinks/liquid or sprinkle them on food. Ground Chia seeds are used in baked goods including breads, cakes & biscuits. Chia sprouts are used as in salads, sandwiches and other dishes.
