This pre-mixed Spice Blend is used to flavor Hummus (Hummus bi tahini), a creamy, thick
textured, tangy-nutty-tasty Middle Eastern signature dip or spread made from cooked,
mashed chickpeas blended with tahini (sesame seed paste).
Hummus is packed full of protein, enjoyed beyond just dipping with pita bread, a great appetizer, or anytime snack, served as a starter at breakfast, lunch or dinner, or as part
of a main meal, or served as part of a meze with falafel, kibbeh & tabbouleh.
Ingredients: Garlic, Cumin, Sea Salt, Lemon, Citric Acid, Cayenne, Parsley, Olive Oil, and Yeast
Simple Recipe to make ‘Hummus bi Tahini’:
In a blender put 1 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas) including the liquid, 1/3 cup tahini (opt), 1/2cup olive oil, 1tsp Hummus spice mix. Blend until a creamier texture, serve immediately with pita bread, pita chips, or veggies.
