Organic Moong (Mung) Whole (Sabut Moong) are small green legumes grown in India and used in Indian cuisine. When cooked, has delicate, slightly sweet flavor and creates a delicious, nourishing meal and is relatively easy to digest. Moong beans are known for their sprouts, used in soups and salads.
Cooking Instruction: Wash, rinse, soak lightly & drain. Add 3 cups of water/ cup of dal, bring to boil. Lower the heat, simmer 25-40 minutes or until tender & soft (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly, remove the floating foam. Flavor with butter or oil, salt to taste and dal masala seasoning if desired. Cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency. Serve warm with steamed basmati rice and choice of any veggie.
