Red sandalwood (Rakta Chandana) is aromatic bark of a tree. Chips are burnt for calming, relaxation, purification and spirituality.
Chips are ground to a powder, then into a paste with honey and water / rose water or combined with ashwagandha and cosmetic clays or mud for a detoxifying facial treatment. It will helpsoothe dry, irritated skin, and provide the skin with a natural glowing complexion, reduce pigmentation marks and acne/pimples.
Apply the paste over your skin, leave for 10 min., then wash off with warm water. For pimples and acne add some turmeric powder to the paste.
