Chimichurri Seasoning, Dry Mix
This dry seasoning mix is to make authentic Chimichurri sauce, originally used in Argentinian cuisine, then in Uruguayan, Paraguayan and Brazilian cuisines. Chimichurri sauce is used as marinade for grilled steak, shrimp, fish, chicken, or tofu. Can be used to serve as a dressing on salads or pasta or drizzled on a bowl of lentils. This dry blend can be used as a dry rub.
Rub meat, fish fillets or seafood lightly with olive oil & salt (to taste), then rub the dry mix & press well into meat, refrigerate for an hour before grilling, pan-searing or roasting.
To make a marinade for roast chicken: whisk 1/4 cup rub with 1/2 cup olive oil, the juice of 1-2limes (opt) and 3tbsp red wine vinegar
