Salep (Salepi) powder is ground powder of tuber root of Orchis mascula. Consumed in beverages and desserts. Salepi drink soothes the nerves, relieves stress and fatigue giving wellness and alertness.
To make Salep Drink: In a small bowl wisk 1tbsp brown sugar and 1 pinch of salep powder, and few tbsp hot milk, until smooth, keep mix aside.
In a sauce pan put 1 cup water or milk, 2 cloves, a pc cinnamon sticks, brinh to boil. Add the mix, keep stirring (15 min) until thickens. Serve, hot.
