Raw and un-hulled black sesame seeds are small, oval- flat, oily sesame seeds.
They have an earthy, sweet, nutty flavor with a pleasing hint of bitterness.

Imparts a slightly more crunchy, intense and stronger flavor than the white variety.
Toasting the seeds intensify its sweet flavor.
