Stearic acid also called ‘Octadecanoic Acid’, isproduced from a range of fatty acids (animal fats, vegetable oils and tallow).

Used as thickener, emulsifiers, emollients, lubricants & cleansing agent. Stearic acid is commonly used in soaps and candle making (making them hard), to thicken creams and lotions.

Also used as a coating agent to be applied to the surface of food to polish, preserve freshness, and prevent water evaporation.

Used in supplements and also as a lubricant to fill capsules (help prevent from breaking apart)
